I remember when I was 14/15 buying my first MAC lipstick I think it could of been syrup or even the first lady to gaga viva glam. However, I think my first ever product was the eyeshadow - retrospeck and I actually still have this and really love it! But I remember falling in love instantly, the price tag for a lipstick was around the £12 price mark compared to the £15 one that exists now, and I'm sure an eyeshadow was £10 even in pot form. From then on I have been an ultimate MAC lover. I think I've had around 3 makeovers in my lifetime. But I remember going on my 18th birthday and they honestly nearly made me cry as they had no recollection of my booking even though I paid anyway I loved the makeup I had on and had an amazing birthday! I don't actually own that many MAC products compared to some beauty lovers I'd saying about 15 in total with 7 of those being lipsticks. Coming to think of it I might actually do a my MAC collection post soon.
Anyway for now, I'm thinking of venturing away a little from MAC and discovering the other wonders that are out there! It's no secret for how long I've wanted the Nars laguna bronzer. My best friend knows everytime we go to the Selridges I have to stop on the way out and swatch it I just think £26 is pricey for a bronzer! I do have a few little bits here and there from other high end makes like Bobbi Brown and YSL but I just seem to get drawn straight into MAC. I'm 99% sure it's because it's the first thing you see when you go in and leave Selfridges and I never seem to delve deeper into the beauty hall.
So, I'm setting my self a little task of next time I'm home to go and look around the entire beauty hall before I make my purchase pick and I'm determined not to head to MAC! I think you need to discover other brands and what they have on offer. The only problem is I don't like spending a massive amount of money on one product unless I know it's going to last me for ages and I'm going to get a lot of use out of it!
I now want to head straight to the beauty hall I might have a gander online before I go home to see what's on offer!
Have a lovely weekend
